Eat here. Best cold Sandwiches and ice tea(s) ever.  Avoid lunch hour. Go early or later.  Some prior reviewer said go to subway instead. No! Do not ever eat at a subway!  Subway is an affront to hoagies and cold cuts. 

The Sea Star is great. The portions are large and the food and bread are fresh.

As a family traveling with both meat eaters and vegetarians the Sea Star Café seemed like the perfect place for us. I was reading reviews online and saw that there can be a bit of a wait so we arrived at 11:00 am (opening time). We were second in line so we only had to wait about 5 minutes for our food. I ordered the Santa Cruz (one of their vegan sandwich options) and my dad ordered the Sicilian. They sandwiches were quite large (perfect for a long day at the beach). Both were delicious however we both noticed that the bread was a bit stiff/tough as if they had been in the fridge before we got them. The staff were a bit cold which surprised me because the reviews I read prior to our visit said that everyone were very friendly. Perhaps we caught them on an off day. Regardless it wouldn't keep me from coming again on my next trip to the island. Great spot  for vegans, vegetarians, and  those seeking a healthier option.

Sea Star Cafe is so good we always make sure to eat here in a weekend at around 4 times.......... A week hummmmmmmm........ we come to the island 1 to 2 times a year and we love it. I wish we had a Sea Star here in Fairfax VA the city of. You really MUST GO TO SEA STAR CAFE!!!! Support them when we can't make it...... eat it for us! Then stop by all of our other favorite places.

Fantastic. Reminds me of a local place in Harrisburg, PA called Neato Burrito. Healthy options with tons of flavor. Obviously this place is sandwiches and salads, rather than burritos. But fantastic none the less.

Excellent! My husband and I split a Roma sub. High quality ingredients on a proper baguette. Boylan sodas in bottles. Great price, friendly people. There are some picnic tables under the trees that were nicely shaded for the hot midsummer weather. Shaded parking too.
