Thier system is dated. They are not live on transactions so things go through all at once instead of as they are charged. They are basically shut down in the accounting department from Saturday at 12pm to Tuesday at 9am. They will not help you set up preferences like alerts and transitioning to different accounts. If you grow as a business and change to a tax Id from a sole proprietor ship they will make you close that account and open a new one and give you minimal to no help with in the transition. Branch offices are not very good to talk to better off just calling the 1-800 number.

Everyone I interacted with was professional and helpful. My experience with Seacoast is positive --a great Florida community bank with a personal touch.

Let me tell you about my experience with Seacoast Mortgage Lenders... Awful!!!... Especially, Ellen Falk in South Florida. We were preapproved for the short sale we have been courting since March 5th (we are investors and own more than two properties). And, once the seller's bank came back with a closing date (in July), Ellen Falk called our Realtor (not US - the CLIENTS) stating, That Seacoast had too many loans in their system and, would not be able to close on time! She told us the DAY before a holiday weekend to go find another Lender!!! Who does that?!!! Well, we found another Lender and closed within 15 calendar days! Closed on time... No thanks to Seacoast & Ellen Falk!!! In addition, they refused to refund all of our money for administration fees and were nothing but a HUGE and stressful headache no potential home buyer needs! Stay away from Seacoast & Ellen Falk!

Seacoast Bank has been chosen as the preferred bank mortgage provider of The Real Estate Company, Inc. according to Jim Weix, Broker/Owner of The Real Estate Company, Inc. "Time after time, Seacoast Bank has successfully helped our buyers obtain mortgages. Their mortgage application process is uncomplicated, and they use local real estate appraisers, which results in more successfully closed transactions" said Weix. According to Weix, "The last few years have been a difficult time for credit worthy home buyers to get mortgages. Much of the problem has been due to some banks using appraisal referral agencies. These appraisers often come from out of the area, and have little or no knowledge of the local real estate market. Seacoast uses local appraisers, who know the area, and can perform competent and accurate appraisals." Weix also credits Seacoast with their willingness to work with so-called "boomerang buyers", people who had credit problems with foreclosures or short sales in the housing crash, but now are starting to regain their home buying ability. Nationally, over the next eight years, nearly 7.3 million Americans who lost their homes in the housing crash, will become creditworthy enough to buy again. "The bottom line for us is that we want to close deals, and Seacoast has helped us do that, even when buyers failed to obtain a mortgage elsewhere." added Weix.
