Just want to inform my neighbors that Sears will not honor their manufacturer's warranty unless you have paid for a service agreement I have a water heater that was purchased in 2007 and it has a 12-year warranty on it but the only way to get a repair part is to pay someone to come out and look at it therefore there warranty is you have to pay to get a part that's free for you I am a plumber and have been dealing with water heater manufacturers for years and all they ask for is a model number and serial number and if it's still under the manufacturer's warranty off of the date of purchase or the date of manufacture the parts will be sent out free of charge I spent over an hour on the phone and then transferred over 7 times and still I have to pay for my own parts to repair a water heater under warranty that is absolutely crazy so buyer beware if you buy anything from Sears the only way they're going to warranty it is if you pay for a service agreement or if you pay for someone to come out there and look at it and order the parts for you for free and they still have an additional charge to install them on top of that now I know why Sears has been downsizing and getting smaller over the years they're just not keeping up with their customer service as they once did

They SUCKED in 1970, my earliest memory of shopping there and never got any better. It's hard to get worse when one is already at the bottom. Good riddance to them!

Their car pick up program is wonderful you just have an app on your phone you drive up and you park and you let them know that you are there and then they bring it out and put it in your car and you drive away it was great
