Story

Located in a quiet north Queen Anne residential neighborhood, SPU’s 43-acre campus borders the Lake Washington Ship Canal and boasts majestic trees, open lawns, gardens, and views of Mt. Rainier. Its 4,000 students choose from 61 undergraduate majors and 20 graduate programs.

Great financial aid (still not cheap though), academics with integrity, and a faithful Christian witness. What more can you ask of a Christian, liberal arts university? Not to mention the passionate, caring professors, and the stunning campus set in the middle of Queen Anne. I miss SPU.

I got pizza here and there turned out to be bbq sauce on it. A warning would have been nice! Also, why can't we have sex in the dorms? I think it's what God would want.

Went to college here and absolutely loved it! Great professors who care about the students and always willing to help. I met great friends here. They do a good job at being open minded and encouraging Christian faith without cramming it down anyone’s throat. I am a passionate Christian and I appreciated this!

From the perspective of a Christian, this is an amazing University. For the most part, the professors are some of the best and brightest, and one can definitely expect a world class education here, however there are some downfalls. The university requires 3 classes on the Christian faith, but in reality the majority of their "common curriculum" is incredibly Christianity centered, which could be an uncomfortable problem for non Christians. The second downfall is the price. It's a private university, tuition is crazy expensive, and room and board will land you a good 4 grand a quarter if you factor in having to pay for laundry and having to pay for orca cards. Not much is given away for free here, so make sure to have a steady job before coming. Despite the negatives, the education quality is great, but if you choose to attend, be prepared for debt.
