Story

We are located in Grand Rapids and administer several programs that distribute over 4 million pounds of donated, purchased food and non-food products to agencies that directly serve the needy. The Food Bank has 14 employees and over 500 volunteers who work daily or on special events. Three delivery trucks distribute the food throughout our seven county service area stretching from Princeton to International Falls.

The volunteers are always very helpful and kid friendly. It took a few trips to not feel like a scumbag for taking a handout but when you realize how many people depend on this place you dont feel so worthless. Make sure to inspect the produce carefully. Sometimes it's good and fresh, sometimes not so much.
