Officer Mena is awesome. Even after I was somewhat of a jerk towards him, he made a joke and we both laughed. Thank you for informing me of my rolling stop; I'll be more cognizant of this in the future.

I went to pay a simple traffic ticket, as I walk in and wait at the window, none of the three women even looked up for at least a minute or two.  As I smiled and waited one of the women huffed and sluggishly pushed back from her desk to attend to me, as if I have ruined her day with my presence. Without a greeting or even a smile she listened to my question took my money and walked away.  Customer service is dead in this office. I wonder if these  folks teach the same values to their children that will one day be in the real world. 
A smile doesn't cost a a penny, nor does good manners. 

People make the job what it is, the job shouldn't make the people what they are.

Hate to judge a whole department by one incident, however as I live in Grand Rapids Michigan I don't have a lot of interaction with them. In Texas long enough to enter at Texarkana and get a ticket for improper lane change without turn signal four miles from my destination. Guess as I was the out of state guy - I was easy pickings. The lane I was in merged with another after a turnaround and I did not signal it as I was to the left when the right lane merged. I dropped off the stuff and returned out of the state in less than a day. No way to make a court case and point out the inconsistency in this but whatever. The point was not the ticket - the point is they took over $200 from the out of state guy they knew wouldn't be back... You give Texans a bad name and I grew up in SA.
