We recently lost my sister-in-law and the family could not be more pleased with the service we received from Serenity. We compared two other homes in the area that came highly recommended, but the people we worked with at Serenity and the fact that their services were nearly half the cost of the others led us to choose them for our service. Everything was perfect. The facility is a wonderful old building and it felt very comforting being a part of that history. Their preparation of our loved one was beyond expectation, as was their customer service, support, clear communication, etc.

It's easy to think we made a choice on cost alone, but honestly I don't what we could have received from anyone else that would have been worth any additional cost. They have our business from now on.

We chose them for my mother-in-law's cremation. Jermaine, the funeral director, was far from helpful or empathetic. He said she wasn't eligible for Title 19 coverage, without even calling to confirm, because she had life insurance. We were told that we had to pay $2,000 out of pocket for a simple direct cremation. We tried to negotiate on price & they were unwilling. We ended up transferring her to another funeral home where they called right away to check & confirmed she was covered by Title 19 & there were no out of pocket costs. Even if she hadn't been, they only charged $595 for direct cremation. Bottom line, Serenity was trying to rip us off & get our money. Their prices are unreasonable also.
