I asked how much it would be for a technician to diagnose my dishwasher and they sent someone out without quoting me.
It's $50 for a service call by the way....
They also wanted to charge me $550+ for a $80 part.

Had them come out 3 times in 1 month to fix our AC. Told them from the beginning that the fan stopped working. Didn't replace the fan motor til the 3rd time. The 3rd visit we were told they wouldn't charge a service charge but that all changed when they bf a me out. They put a new fan motor on which we told them from the 1st visit it was the fan and got charged a service charge. In the 3 visit they got $150 Just in service charges when they should have just had one service charge. Will never have them fix anything again.

Excellent, friendly,  sooo helpful we have used this service for the last 20 years and have been very thankful for all their help and repairs...it's great to have a service that you can depend on here in Kirksville...

Called on the weekend. Business voicemail gave a phone number to reach Jay. He answered the phone as if I was disturbing him. I apologized and explained where I got the number and whom I was trying to reach. With a cranky tone he said I had the right number. No desire to do business with someone like that. If you don't wish to get calls on your "personal cell phone" then don't give it out.

We called Jay at Service Express a couple weeks ago when our furnace quit.  A few days later we received the bill and were quite shocked.  $1600 for parts and labor!  Ok, we understand that fixing a furnace can be quite costly, but... When looking up the parts on several different websites we discovered he marked up the cost about 300%!!!  He also billed us for 7.5 hours labor, half of which was diagnostic and shouldn't have taken that long.  

Not only did he fail to mention an estimated cost of repair, he overcharged us an exorbitant amount!

But does it end there... no.  We called another HVAC professional to come out and give us an estimate on replacing the units.  While he was there, Jay pulls up and starts cussing out my husband!  Asking why he has another guy there looking at things!  He also accuses my husband of unfair business practices!  Unbelievable!

My husband paid him the $1600 just to be done with the situation.  If it had been me at home today, however, we probably would have ended up in court over this whole ordeal.  Either way, lesson learned!  Never, ever will we call Service Express again.
