On Saturday, December 3rd, I was working in Kentucky when My wife called to inform me that we had 2-3 inches of water in my basement.  Sump pump failed.  After I notified my insurance company, my next call was to ServPro.  Their after hour emergeny call center picked up on the second ring.  They said they would send a crew out as quickly as they could to help.  About an hour later their truck pulled in the driveway.  Bert, the crew leader, was very reassuring to my wife that they would do everything possible to help minimize the damage.  After my 7 hour drive, I met Bert and his crew as they were finishing up the remedeation and removal.  They again reviewed the status of all they had done, and would be doing, with my wife and I.  They came back on Sunday and Monday to check on the progress of the drying equipment, and were back Tuesday morning to remove thier equipment. 

I hope that I never have a water catastrophe like that again, but If I do, my second call would be to ServPro again, and I would recommend to anybody that asked, that they do the same.

Basement flooded on Tuesday night.  I called Wednesday morning and nobody was available until Sunday.  My house stunk so bad by Friday that I ripped up the carpet myself.
