Story

Seven Hawks Vineyards were planted on a stunningly scenic bluffside
site starting in 2003, and is currently one of the largest vineyards in the
Upper Midwest, with approximately 17,000 producing vines. Our winery began winemaking in 2007, and over the years our estate-grown wines have won many
awards, and have been enjoyed by guests from across the United States and
beyond.

We take pride in all of our wines being estate-grown and estate-bottled.
Visiting our Fountain City tasting room is a portal into the remarkable
regional flavors of western Wisconsin, a special opportunity for our guests
to enjoy wines that are truly 100% local, grown and made in Fountain City.

Seven Hawks Vineyards were founded by Brad and Laurie Nilles and their family
as a sister enterprise to their widely loved Hawks View Cottages, Lodges, and
Suites, and Brad Nilles is the only winemaker Seven Hawks has ever employed.
The Nilles family has been engaged in agricultural endeavors in the nearby area since the mid-1850's, with a long lineage of characters whose hard work and
perseverance have yielded sustenance and bounty from the rugged Mississippi Valley landscape.

Walk into our faithfully restored 1870's tasting room, and experience the deep,
rich flavors of one of the North Country's most beautiful regions. We'll be grateful
