Welcome to the Kernersville Seventh-day Adventist Church Facebook.
For many of you this may be the first time that you have ever visited a Seventh-day Adventist church or web site. It is our hope and prayer that you will understand a little bit more about Adventists from your visit here.
What makes a Seventh-day Adventist Church different from the many other churches around your community? The 17 million Seventh-day Adventists around the world believe that they have been entrusted with a very special task to call people’s attention to the prophecies of the Bible that predict Jesus’ soon return to this planet. Like the many Christian reformers over the centuries Adventists feel a special responsibility to point people to the teachings of Jesus that have been lost sight of over the centuries. This is in part why the Seventh-day Adventist Church ranks among one of the fastest growing churches in the world today.
Two of our distinctive beliefs are contained in our name. “Seventh-day” refers to our belief and observance of the seventh day of the week, Saturday, as the day of rest and worship. We believe that the Sabbath is God’s gift to the human race since creation and that Jesus and the disciples kept the Sabbath and that it is part of God’s plan for all people to enjoy its blessings throughout eternity.
“Adventist” refers to our belief in the Second Advent or Second Coming of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus’ return to this world will be a literal event and that everyone who is alive on planet earth will see Him come. We also believe that according to Jesus’ predictions regarding His return mentioned in Matthew 24 and other passages in the New Testament that His coming will be very soon.
Seventh-day Adventist Christians enjoy a very special sense of community both locally and around the world. As you visit the Kernersville Church you will find a congregation that is very family friendly. You will find on average between 200-250 people worshipping in a blended worship service, that includes hymns, gospel songs and praise choruses accompanied by organ, piano, guitars and other instruments.
Children, youth and adults all lead out in worship. A story lesson for the children is included along with a Biblical message where God’s word is studied in light of the difficult times in which we live. All this is done with the great hope that we have in Jesus and His Second Coming.
If there is any question that we can answer please don’t hesitate to email or call the church. Better yet, we invite you to worship with us this coming Saturday morning. Our adult and children’s Bible study begins at 9:30 a.m. while our worship service begins at 10:45 a.m. and concludes at 12:15 p.m. We look forward to seeing you soon. May God bless you!
“To proclaim to all peoples the everlasting Gospel as stated in the Three Angels Messages of Revelation 14:6-12, leading them to accept Jesus as their personal Savior, to unite with His church, and to prepare for His soon return. We pursue this mission by utilizing all of our God given talents and resources, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. ”
