Great produce selection, deli counter, cheeses, hot food bar, and all your essential grocery items (and pretty good selection of beauty products, health, and supplements). It's definitely not as cheap as Cub, but the coop generally stocks organic and ethically sourced goods, as much as possible. It's a community-owned coop. Anyone can purchase a share which entitles you to quarterly discounts, an end of year dividend (if the store is profitable) and a vote in board elections. Also the workers are finally unionizing; another plus.

This is a great Co-op they have good lunch specials and indoor seating where you can sit and enjoy your lunch. They also have a wonderful selection of fruits and vegetables and you can buy bulk herbs and spices. They also have a great cheese counter and meat department where you can get grass-fed Meats smoked fish and homemade sausage and brats.

Newly former employee speaking: The are a lot of things wrong with this place, from top to bottom. Putting high cost products in a working class immigrant neighborhood. Having all of their signage in English, and not trying to be more accessible to the high fluctuation of Shoppers that have limited or no English. Harassment of floor employees on a management level. Harassment of floor employees from other businesses, that go unpunished. I'm one of many that was set up and bullied by management out of my position. The general manager getting raises for constantly messing everything up for the company and making life harder for the floor workers. Management being praised for messing up everything and making things harder for their subordinates. But now that I no longer work for them I am liberated. I am not going to try to fight to get my job back, but instead fight for the community to know what horrible people they really are and how Seward Co-op should have no place in any community, unless they want their property taxes and rent to go up and their income to go down. The damage caused to communities by this company in gentrification is not erased by rounding up for charities or the needs based discount. They also have the amount of people of color that they have due to hiring people of color for majority of part-time. This company participates and institutionalized racism just as anyone else, but tries to cover it up only in a way that people that don't know any better would be able to be fooled. As someone who has dealt with racism all their life, it didn't take me long in my year of working there to see that they are just as bad, if not worse, as any other company that I could have worked for. As much as I love my former co-workers, this company was not worth my time, loyalty, and health. I wish the best to any and all that had the fortune of leaving this company to go on to any other opportunities, that would wish me the same. I hope management and all their alliances feel the pain that they have inflicted on others and suffer tragic events that affect their quality of life.

A nice little spot that was very friendly and high quality food that was obviously made with love. I would have gave it 5 stars but i would really have liked to see a few desserts and a main dish like steak frittes to go with their delicious French fries. Lastly i didn't like that I wasn't able to tip, such nice polite people deserve a little something extra if they are giving me exceptionally good friendly service.

Really nice grocery store with a nice environment. However, their prices are insane especially for the area. I work at a different coop and was surprised to see prices here are MORE than the one I work at (and I thought my coop was expensive). If you're a rich person and you want a trendy hip grocery store experience with insane prices, this is the place for you.
