There are low cost lunches during certain hours, and lots of classes and programs (check website). You can consult with a social worker. You can find shared housing renters and landlords on the bulletin board inside. There are also 2 public computers.

i HAVE FOUND THE STAFF EXTREMELY HELPFUL.  THE CENTER IS A PLACE WHERE EVERYONE IS WELCOME.  ACTIVITIES ARE BUZZING MOST OF THE TIME - - DANCE CLASSES, MUSICAL GROUPS, BRIDGE, CRAFTS, COMPUTERS, ART, TRIPS, YOGA, GYM AND A COMMUNITY THEATER GROUP.

Rude and impatient lady who answers the phone. Called to ask several questions about the exercise/gym facilities for my aging parents and instead of receiving helpful information and pleasant customer service, I got attitude --if the person answering the phone doesn't have the time or patience to answer questions, I would much prefer being transferred to someone who does, rather than being made to feel like I was somehow "burdening" her or wasting her time. Sadly, I don't live in Chapel Hill so I can't just stop in; hence, the reason for my call.  Sorry to "put you out," lady.
