Overall we were very pleased with Shadow.  Family owned, very pleasant to work with Manual and his wife. They tore off three layers of shingles, and installed a new roof, a layer of insulation for my vaulted addition, skylights, and a solar tube. All for ~10-20% less than our other quotes. They listened to my concerns (keeping debris out of my neighbors yard) and finished the job in 3 days.  Taking that many layers off resulted in a ton of debris, and while they didn't get every last scrap of shingle from the rose bushes, they left my yard a lot cleaner than it was before they started. My advice, get a quote from Shadow.

Manuel showed up exactly when he said he would, and he let me know what we could do to fix the leak in our roof.  The work was done in a day, and so far, everything looks good.   I'll have to wait for the first rain (if we get any) to see if the work did the job, but as far as customer service goes, they did great.  They also assured me that they would come out and fix the roof again if any leaks persisted.

Shadow Roofing was excellent! They executed the proposal of their owner (Manny) perfectly and professionally -- all within one day (instead of the 2 days allowed). They removed 2000 sq.ft. of old roof, installed 3 layers of new roofing, and cleaned up meticulously, all between 8am – 5:30pm. The key to their success was a crew of 8 experienced roofers who were totally focused on the job and worked super-efficiently as a group. 

The crew sprang into action with a focus and intensity which made me think of a special forces unit. There was no chit-chat or wasted time. 

Before the job, Shadow Roofing advised me that the solar panels on the (expired) roof of the house I had just bought had been wrongly installed. He coordinated with the solar company before and during the temporary removal and subsequent re-installation of the mounts and panels. Manny made sure that (this time) the panels and their mounts could not risk penetrating the roofing materials, were adequately "flashed"etc. 

The other company which bid this job had not educated me regarding how re-roofing must be handled when solar panels are involved. 

I would definitely recommend Shadow Roofing to anyone in the Ventura area. It's a family-owned firm with an extraordinary discipline and commitment to thorough and high-quality work.

Owning numerous properties we utilize a roofer on a yearly basis. A friend recommended Shadow Roofing. I arranged for an estimate, they arrived on time, actually got on the roof to inspect and obtain the measurements (Not all companies do). The estimate was received promptly and questions I had were handled professionally. The roof was removed quickly and the grounds were left very clean upon their departure. There was an area of roof that need attention and they fixed it at no additional charge!
