I lived here for 6 months and it was very good experience.... Apartments are nice and huge and very nice neighbours.... Location of apartments are also near to walmart, home depot i 80 highways etc.... very nice place to live here.... If ever i come back in ohio will surely like to move to shady lake....

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews about Shady Lake. The apartments are very large, clean, and well kept. I live in the smallest two bedroom apartment and I also have two bathrooms which is rare to find at the price point they offer. Anytime something is broken or wrong they fix it correctly and fast. I have also seen what they do when someone moves out. They put in new carpet if they have been there over a year, repaint, and really clean the place. It's not a one day job. They spend a lot of time on them. Overall, for the price and quality you can't really go wrong. You aren't going to find a two bedroom two bathroom like this many other places. I've looked!

Loved my experience at Shady Lake apartments and my husband and I were sad to leave. The location is perfect- and the apartment quality is excellent. I never heard our neighbors from inside the apartment and the staff was great. Never had any major issues but when something came up they were FAST to get it fixed. Highly Recommend!

Shady lake apartment was the worse experience I’ve ever had renting an apartment. Looking back I should have taken the other bad reviews more seriously and found another place to live. After I signed the lease, some neighbors moved in above me soon after I moved in. You can forget about having any peace and quiet living here in my experience. After hearing the stomping, the constant creaking of the floor, and people screaming through what I imagine to be paper thin walls, and floors I went to the office to let them know of the situation. I felt they did next to very little for me. I had to talk to my neighbors about the noise. That somewhat worked for about a month or two. I complained a few months later to the office just to have a similar experience with them about the noise. I again had to let my neighbors know about the noise concern. I got the feeling they just really didn’t care about how noisy my neighbors were being, or how it was affecting me. I think a good apartment complex would at least contact the other neighbor to let them know. After six months I couldn’t take waking up to, trying to fall asleep to, or eating dinner to the sounds of creaking floors, toilets running, stomping, screaming, and people running up and down the top deck which creates a booming effect inside what was my apartment. I decided that moving out and having to pay double rent for the last half of the lease was worth some peace and quiet. To me it was that bad. I write this review to share my experience and inform people about what I consider a mistake. In my opinion you should steer clear of shady lake apartments, and NOT give any of your hard earned money to this apartment complex.

My boyfriend and I just moved in two weeks ago, and so far everything has been great! We are living in 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom apartment on the second floor, which is very spacious and cozy! We have a beautiful view of the lake, and the fireplace is a nice added bonus. Besides the kitchen being a bit outdated, I think the apartment is well worth the price. As for the staff, I have only dealt with Simone so far, but I would definitely recommend speaking / working with her! She took the time to show us 3 different apartments and answered every question we had. She has been more than helpful throughout the whole process of moving in!
