This little Hawaiian Inspired restaurant located inside a collective was Extremely deliciously decorated and ready to eat once was it delivered . We liked it so much I think we’re gonna take a trip down to the collective to dine-in on date night! Big ups to Shaka really great food!
Definitely lives up to the hype. Their Musubi was better than most I had in Hawaii. Their loco moco is out of this world. Definitely worth a trip. Don’t be distracted by the other restaurants in the Collective. This is THE spot.
Wow we wow wow!!!! Had the Loco Moco. It exceeded my expectations. First off the macaroni salad was delicious and moist Second the party was seasoned very nicely and the egg was a great unctuousness that complimented the gravy. All in all I was full and happy and needed a nap.
Last week, during Midtown's 10 Buck Lunch Week February 20th to 24th several restaurants in Midtown hosted $10 Lunches from 11am-2pm. My third stop was to… Shaka OKC - I had Two Hawaiian Chicken Taco, Macaroni Salad + Drink. Shaka is located inside The Collective Food Hall. The weather was perfect, so I sat outside on the Patio. I missed out on like 4 places but I'll definitely be back!!!
The grilled chicken Hawaiian sandwich was good. I like the pineapple mixture added extra.
I had the Loco Moco last night and wasn't a huge fan. The burger and the egg were both cooked too long and weren't particularly flavorful. I was hopeful but I just don't see it being worth the $15 when there are so many other options in the area. Service was fine though. Could be a one off.Food: 2/5
I tried three restaurateurs at the collective. I had the barbecue chicken, which looked to be the best thing on the menu. The portions should be bigger: less than half of a cup of rice.....uh HELLO!... its just rice. There was a macaroni salad type of side that wasn't that great. My boyfriend gave that a thumbs down. I love the concept, lovely Hawaiian dishes, but I would not buy again unless they twerk the menu.
Seriously great food. Pork shanks were tender, fries were fluffy on the inside and crispy outside, and the spam musubi had the perfect ratio of rice to spam and sweet to salty.Recommended dishesOno Pork Shanks, Fries, Spam Musubi, Island Boy Loco Moco
Last time I had Loco Moco was in Hawaii. I was so excited to find it nearby! It and the Mac salad were great!
The burger was very tasty. Tangy and sweet. Took about 10 minutes to get our food. Three macaroni was not good at all.
