Had the Saag and my friend had the maggi. The food was good, I liked the flavors in the saag and the maggi. Their robot brought it to us when it was ready, that was kinda cool. But It was a little dim in the restaurant and the tables were a little dirty around us. It was alright food and had a good vegan options but the atmosphere was a little wonky.
It is very difficult to find quality hot prepared vegetarian/vegan food in Stockton, so Shan-E is often a go-to for our whole family and a great source for groceries. We've enjoyed every dish we've tried and really appreciate that we can request vegan versions of any item. We stock our vegan/vegetarian staples from their market as often as possible as the quality, price, and selection is incomparable to regular grocery stores. The staff is always happy to see us and we love supporting locally-owned family businesses. It's SamosaTime!
Customer service so bad and rude . I feel like they also want to me clean dishes. No kids food allow even your kid don’t like spicy food. We go there because kids don’t like spicy and we want some veg food . We decided to eat there and save some time . When we told them to cancel our order he didn’t apologize and also not ask why we are going. I feel that man had too much attitude. You should need to learn about respect your customers even you are owner and deal with them nicely not rudely.
Started off great at least that’s what we thought but left disappointed. Atmosphere was great, shop has lots of things we were going to buy but didn’t and owner’s wife was nice and friendly. We ordered three dishes, and two were great but the rajma was raw and so was the gravy. I tried to nicely let the owner know that the rajma was not fully cooked but he immediately denied it and got really defensive. He just sat on the chair and did nothing while we waited with freshly ordered garlic nans and When I went to check with him he was super rude, raised his voice and called me a liar in front of the other customers and my kids. Very unprofessional and weird. My wife went to go show him nicely the rajma and he just told her you want free food fine it’s all free. She told him no, we just want to pay for the food we were able to eat. He argued back and forth and his wife came to try and tell us to just take it. I can’t get why he wouldn’t just take like $5 off or something and be reasonable. He apparently only sees black and white and my wife had to beg him to stop arguing so she could talk. We ended up leaving $40 on the table which covered our meal aside from the rajma. Obviously we have no issue paying for the food that we did eat and was fine. This guy was unreasonable and really needs to try to learn some customer service basics. Perhaps some anger management classes would help. He might learn not to project his anger on other people. Later on we found out from his community that he is known for rude guy.
Very Bad Service. They don't know how to greet their costumer. Such a Rude Staff. They did't even worth 1 Star.Food: 1/5
Too good food, authentic, vegetarian and very tasty.. most amazing part was good being served by Robotsee video... visited twice. Once with my family and second time invited one of my friend with his family. They too, liked the food. Bhindi Masala, paneer Tikka, Naan, dal - all were awesome...
Food is usually good. I'd like to provide a constructive criticism since they are our community members. You got to check your food especially the accompaniments. I ordered samosas that come with green and sweet chutneys. The cold green chutney had gone bad smelled and tasted extremely sour and formed gas in the container. This is not the first time I experienced this issue. Several years ago we party of 3 had Chaat at this place. It tasted weird the potatoes tasted bad and we all got food poisoning. Please check your food quality and serve fresh food.
Hi so I’m just here because I’m looking for some food and checking the reviews to see if the food is any good. And im Just here to say that from reading all these reviews there are so many people saying that the service is bad and that the staff is really rude at this restaurant and I’ve got to say that all the responses from the restaurant owner are really rude and childish. The person that replies to the reviews is really denying that they are being rude to their customers but it really shows in the responses. That person is literally correcting the customers grammar lol that just shows they can’t take any kind of criticism at all and can only be rude in their defense and deny everything the customers are claiming. This person from the restaurant really said “you spelled this word wrong but we can just discuss your grammar on your next visit” Like whhhhhattttt!!! That’s crazy . Hahahaahahaaa I’m done. Not coming here because I’m the type to go off if someone that works there looks at me crazy or talks crazy to me. I am not the one.
THE WORST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD!!! I have never given any restaurant a 0 star. But this place is so worse and deserves no stars, I had to give one because without it I couldn’t post this review. The food is so disgusting. I shouldn’t be using this word for food but can’t help it. My husband just picked up food from them like an hour ago. I ordered Dahi bhalle and sev puri. The curd in it smells and taste so bad couldn’t eat it after having one bite. I ordered rajmah aswell, it’s like somebody boiled rajmah and that not even done properly and cut big chunks of onions and tomatoes and threw it in the water and mixed it with masala. The water is literally separating. It taste so bad. Can’t eat it. The only thing that was decent was the bread pakora. Waste of money. Never eating here again.
