Well, this rating is for both the local police, the Shannon County deputies and the Sheriff. I know your guys job is a difficult one no matter what part of the world you're in but I was extremely surprised on my last visit to the city of Eminence, Missouri. I observed NUMEROUS persons on UTV's and ATV's regularly being driven on the city streets, even the main strip in town, some even being driven by CHILDREN! I observed these violations dozens of times between the dates of 08/23/17 thru 08/26/17, at all hours of the day generally between 0700 thru 2300 hrs. Your jurisdiction was having a fairly busy week as far as traffic. Between the normal tourists, the local traffic, the pedestrians and the traffic from the "questionable" event (Dogs Off The Leash) taking place at Arrowhead Campground, the roads were steadily busy. As far as this is concerned, you are putting yourselves at a HUGE liability by letting this occur. Don't be reactive instead of proactive. When an incident or fatality occurs, and it will, you will be held responsible for letting this take place. All it will take is that one individual with deep pockets and knowing that right politician in Jefferson City to really cause you guys a HUGE headache. Sure, some of the town's folk may not like the enforcement but there are certain laws in place to protect the safety of the citizens. This is where YOU come in! The last thing you need is the "Staties" coming in, doing your job for you and you looking for new employment. Just some friendly advice from a friend. Stay safe.
