Come check out Shannon’s on Pine if you’re looking for a cool sports bar with a good selection of beer on tap and some delectable comfort food. The menu is on point, they have good nachos that are filling and loaded. The outlaw burger is a must if you’re a burger lover like myself. Try the buffaloes wings and the elote and the fish tacos as well. Catch a game in there anytime of the week and chow down and drink up.
I enjoyed the atmosphere. Great place to grab a drink. Food was good. The only issue was there was only one bartender on a Saturday night around 6:30. The wait for drinks were a little lengthy. I would recommend this bar for locals as well as tourist visiting Long Beach.
The drinks were amazing! Loved the vibe of the r&brunch too
Perfect place for a 20s - early 30s crowd. Has the music, drinks, vibe, and crowd. Almost like a clubby bar but without the club or cover charge. Drinks are good, bartenders are as friendly as can be, given they are stretched thin with Friday night crowd. Bathrooms are a miss, but that's kinda to be expected in a bar like this. Piss on the floor, empty drink glasses, etc. My preferred place is hidden underneath, secret island.
I LOVE FIRST TIME THERE THE LOVE THE SERVICE I ENJOYED MYSELF I ALSO MEET A VERY NICE LADY NAMED FREEDOM I WILL BE SEEING HER AND HER FIANCE AGAIN SOON....
This is my favorite local bar, great service, drinks reasonably priced, it's overall a great place! Almost forgot, those chicken strips tho
Dive bar. It's been in Long Beach for years. It's fabulous on the weekdays but it can get very busy. It's certainly fun on St Patrick's Day, tho, of course. They have a new upstairs area that is very clean. I was up there during the day when it was super bright and the windows opened so it was kept fairly cool. I wouldn't go back deliberately. Nothing is particularly great about it, except the location.
UPDATE: Thank you to the owner I believe for apologizing on behalf of Christian whom apparently was the manager. I didn't have a good experience at all and still won't be going back; at least not any time soon. Christian was very confrontational and demeaning and I don't think I'd be able to hold myself back this time around with his behavior. Again thank you for the apology, sincere or not. Young white Male named Cristian maybe in his mid 30s wearing a green bay packers hat was escorting us out and claimed that even if I have a a service dog I had to go outside. My husband responded he needed to see all tvs and in response the white male responded that "MAYBR NEXT TIME DON'T BRING YOUR DOG". This comment was completely unnecessary, rude and very unprofessional. I've worked in the service industry and in the years of experience I have, I would NEVER speak to a client the way he spoke to us. I told him its federally illegal for restaurants to not allow service animals in food places and he mentioned that per the health department dogs weren't allowed. He then got confrontational with me and I started shaking because of the way he was speaking to me speaking down at that point he told me he didn't like the way I was speaking to him and then asked me what services does my service animal provide. I didn't sit there and disclose to him all the services she provides but I told told him enough. I could feel my vision blurring and i was shaking excessively. Then, he stated he was allowed to ask 3 questions it's 2 actually which he didn't even know and I corrected him. Question 1 is this a service dog? He didn't ask that AT ALL. Question 2 what tasks does the service dog perform? I answered him. He was very confrontational and in my face. I pulled out Fridas service animal badge since I couldn't find her vest this morning. He then stopped questioning and allowed us to sit next to the door. I could see he felt pretty dumb thinking he knew the law. This man has no type of compassion or customer service. How do you talk to people the way you did? I wasn't going to write a review or report this place to the ADA but he didn't even apologize. He passed by our table numerous times and even approached a group of guys we were chatting with on our way out, and still didn't apologize. It took me an hour to calm down at which point I was crying heavily. Christian seems like a cool person but I guess he took it out on me and my service dog. Never coming here again and I'm reporting this to the agencies responsible. My husband grabbed a drink and food for himself but I couldn't get myself to eat. Please educate your staff throughly on this kind of stuff. Also we didn't even see any signs posted stating no dogs allowed. Wouldn't matter since my dog is a service animal. 0 stars. This does not reflect the server who brought us the food or drink. Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android
Will not accept cr. cards, making an excuse of the POS system down. There was no one waiting on us and the bartender who was the only one taking orders did not care about us just helping her friends while we were waiting in line B4 them. Very obnoxious and rude.
They pour huge shots. 2x-3x normal. Prices are fair and the bartender was friendly, but overwhelmed with the crowd.
