I was working with attorney Sheehan on my divorce case. Loved her from the first time I spoke with her on the phone. I decided she was the one I wanted for my case so I paid her the $1500 up front. Then in November she needed another $1300 which I then paid her. Then after the holidays about a month after I paid her I got a letter stating that she needed another $1377 and if it wasn't paid at a certain time she was going to withdrawl from my case. I was confused because I just paid her, I thought there may have been a mistake...Her paralegal said there was $377 past due and $900 was another retainer for the upcoming court date in February. I was now a single mother of 2 just starting out and I couldn't give her the entire amount of $1377, but told her that I could with no problem give her the past due balance of $377 and that I would give her the rest of the retainer before court. Her paralegal then told me that attorney again said she needed the entire $1377 or she'd withdrawl. I then asked her if I could do some type of automatic payment withheld from my paychecks until it was paid off, the answer was still no. I then asked the paralegal MANY times to ask attorney Sheehan to please call me so I could talk to her directly. (Afterall, she hadn't withdrew from my case YET, so she was still working for me, I had some tax questions) and I never got a call, just a letter a few weeks later stating that she has withdrawn from my case. Fortunately-- after much stress, tears and heartache I was able to finish the divorce on my own. It really blew my mind and broke my heart that someone could treat another human being like that. I feel that I was a great client. Trusted her and took her advice very seriously. I was so open and honest with her about EVERYTHING about my situation. It's not as if I didn't pay her. It's not as if I was very past due. I tried everything I could to guarantee she'd get her money. She wouldn't even call me back. I sold things that were important to me to try to get the money. I walked into the office to try to catch her. I emailed her. I TRIED getting a hold of her....never a call back. I GET that divorce can be very expensive. I GET that attorneys need their money.... I think the most aggravating thing was that I couldn't speak with her before she withdrew.

Very professional, Attorney Sheehan is very well versed in the law. She exudes confidence when entering a room, fights for what is fair for her client and gets it!
