The attendants are ALWAYS rude, and no matter what you tell them, they loooove to force more gas into your tank just to round up to the next dollar. As with most attendants, they hate to give you change, so they'll make the fuel overflow if that means they won't have to. I always tell them beforehand, regardless of payment, to LEAVE the pump alone when it stops - but of course, the pump stops and there they go clicking away. If I say stop, they don't listen. If I get louder, their excuse is always "it's not bad!" or "it's ok! It's ok!" or "it doesn't hurt car!" Of course, in miserable broken English. And every single time they still go on, I blow the horn. Although even that has trouble stopping them. Just this morning, I told the attendant to fill up cash, and to leave the pump alone when it stopped because I had exact change. "Ok buddy," he said. But as usual, when the pump stopped at $26.21, he went forcing it up to $27. I said out the window, "no, please stop, just leave it." He looked at me and kept going. "Hey, STOP," I yelled, and he inched it closer to the next dollar. Finally I hit the horn, and a second later he rounded it to $27. In spite, I handed him a 20 and a 10. "You have change?" he snapped. "No. Give me 3 dollars," I snapped back, and he reclucantly sorted through the giant bundle of cash in his hand - oh what a burden - and actually threw 3 singles through the window onto the passenger seat, even though I was reaching out to him. Overfilling can cause EVAP system problems on a car, and as an automotive technician, I know the consequences. Though most people simply don't care about overfilling and don't mind the few extra cents, I personally don't care for those that can't follow simple instructions.
