Went to the Newport Oregon shell after leaving work tonight and received nothing but a hostile attitude from the gas attendant who's name is Mike!! After working a long day myself dealing with a grown man having a temper tantrum is not what I should have to put up with!! I pull up to the pump. Mike comes up to my car and says in a hostile tone "can I help you". I ask nicely for $20 regular in cash. At this point I am already feeling uncomfortable with him so when I hand him my key to my gas tank I close and lock my door. It sounds like he slams the gas nozzle into my gas tank. He comes back to my window after he starts the pump and grumpily asks if its $20 cash. I say yes, and then he very aggressively  asks for the cash. I was taken back by his hostility and I said no.. I will pay you after you pump my gas.  He argues with me and demands that I pay him first. I inform him that is never how I have had to do it in the past with this gas station so no I will pay when he's done pumping my gas. He tries to argue with me and say that this is how its done. He says fine I'm not pumping your gas. Stops it at just over $2.00, leaves my gas cap on the pump and walks off. I decide to go in and talk to the counter person because this is ridiculous at this point. Very bad to the point of almost scary encounter with this man. As I'm walking into the Shell station, Mike rushes past me to cut me off to the counter guy.  He starts saying in a loud, grumpy tone about how I refuse to pay him and hes not pumping my gas and that I owe $2 and whatever amount in change. After Mike storms back outside I have a chance to explain everything to the counter guy.  I told the counter guy Bobby (I think that was his name) everything and he was very apologetic about Mikes Behavior. He tried to get Mikes attention to get the pump running for my car since I have Bobby the $20 for my gas. Mike again storms in coming up to the counter with a loud, hostile voice something about how the counter guy needs to clear the pump so that he can start the pump again. Mike storms back out with big arm gestures. Finally after 15 minutes of this ordeal, my gas in pumped and I am able to leave.  This was by far the worst customer service that I have ever received from ANY gas station ever.  The fact that he was hostile to the point that I was made to feel very uncomfortable and almost scared to be in his surroundings is not acceptable.  Horrible customer service. Not ok on any level.

The gas attendant working night shift 11/26 is super friendly And offered to call AAA for us when he noticed how low our front tire was. Alex was cashiering and is always attentive, funny, and polite!

Usually everyone is very friendly, they go through a lot of employees. Sometimes the pump service sucks but it's because of either being short on employees or the corporate office thinks they don't need that many people on the pumps. Corporate office needs to come down for a week and do their jobs before they determine how many employees should be doing their jobs!
