I have been going to SWHC for 2 years now with a miscarriage and successful pregnancy. Overall I am happy with their service, the only reason I gave 4 stars is because of their receptionist. I don't remember the name but one of the girls are rude. She always has an attitude. One of my girlfriends noticed that too. Other than that, my recent pregnancy went well, and the midwives are great and caring. I loved my birth experience. Would recommend to others.

The waiting area smelled lovely! The doctor was professional, kind, and respectful. Our health concerns were addressed in a helpful, low-anxiety manner.

I have been a patient of this business for 15 years and I was very happy with them until the last couple of years. I can remember at least 3 different occasions where they have cancelled my appointment the day before. It's very hard to schedule with them as it is and they won't accommodate me with another physician on the day of my appointment. I guess they don't care about me as a person.. I have to take a whole day off of work to go to my appointment, and it is not easy to do that. They have become to big of a facility that they don't care about our needs anymore.

On September 4, 2016 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. My labor did not go quite as planned. After being in labor for 16 hours, not progressing pass 9 cm, A high temperature, high blood pressure, and then the baby's heartbeat at 198, the doctor said we need to have an emergency C-section. My only concern in that moment was the well-being of my baby girl. Dr. Deaton performed what I believe was a perfect c-section. I was up and moving the following day, and three days later I was home and physically back to normal. Dr. Deaton made me feel at ease during a difficult time, and his confidence and bedside manner assured my husband and I that we have the best doctor. Thank you Doctor and your team for making a difficult time the best moment in my life.

My experience at Shenandoah Women's Healthcare has been wonderful. I went there for prenatal care for all of my pregnancies and chose to do Centering care with the midwives. Centering taught me a lot about what to expect when having a child and also got me connected to other moms and partners who would be in the same stage of parenting as us. I am still in touch with and connected to moms from both my Centering experience four years ago and the one I am just completing with our newborn. The midwives have all been wonderful to work with and I felt I received the best possible care in their hands. It feels like they truly get to know you and care about who you are and not just your physical health. I would highly recommend Shenandoah to anyone having a baby.
