About

Shiok! Ridiculously Delicious open its door on May 10, 2012. Shiok! is owned by Caroline and Robin Tan.

Story

Established in May 2012, Shiok! is the brainchild of Caroline Tan. Having moved from Singapore to Mountain Home, she realized that the City of Mountain Home and the Mountain Home Air Force Base community lacked a good authentic Asian restaurant. Even the best Asian restaurants in Boise were a far cry from what is offered in the bigger cities like Los Angeles and Las Vegas. She chanced upon the famous old Scrubby's restaurant, and spent a year remodeling it to bring authentic Singaporean and Asian cuisine to the folks at Mountain Home. Shiok! had our soft opening on May 10, 2012. Our Grand Opening on July 16 was graced by the Honorable Tom Rist, the previous Mayor of Mountain Home. Come dine and enjoy the exotic Singapore dishes, beautiful ambiance and relaxing music here at Shiok!

Good food! Make it pretty quick. Prices are a little expensive so it's not a place we eat all the time. I wish they used & cooked their own rice rather than using instant rice.

The food was delicious and the waitress was very polite and helpful when it came to deciding what to eat. The price is a little expensive so I would recommend going during lunch time, but you definitely get your money's worth with the amount of food you get!

My wife and I both had the Sizzling Seafood Plate on Sunday Night. We got home, and within about 2 Hours we both had Diarrhea and Vomiting! I messaged the Owner, and all he would do is issue us a Certificate to eat there again. NO THANKS! I called the Health Department, and it seems as though the Restaurant must pay them off! The guy kept making excuses as to why we couldn't have got sick from there!

Curry vegetable hot pot was yummy. Spicy but not too much zing. Flowering tea was nice. Spring rolls and dumplings were average.
