We have used Ship Shape for the past two years on our boat at Lake Ray Hubbard. They clean the boat every two weeks and do a great job of making sure our boat is clean and ready for use every time we arrive at the marina. It is a great service that makes our lives so much easier.

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!

I did some research on several different boat detailing services around Dallas because I was looking to have the pontoon polished on my boat. It was not something that they had done before, but agreed to give it a shot. I provided them ALL the chemicals and everything they would need to do the job right...right down to the rags and a link to a YouTube video which outlined exactly how to do the job.

Long story short...they did what I asked them to do, and all in all, it looked pretty good for their first try...about a 7 on a 10 scale.

Here's the problem....

I also paid them to detail the boat on the inside and out. This was about a 3 on a 10 scale, but what's worse is that when I got my boat back there were a lot of missing items that were there when I dropped it off to them. They had suddenly disappeared?! I had even made a joking comment to the guy when I dropped it off that the bottle of liquor I left in there should still be there when I picked it up. Guess what, IT WAS NOT! I told Shane the issue, and wrote it off as no big deal, but when I found that my tool kit, my battery tender, an anchor, and several other items were not there, that's when I got concerned! I contacted Shane and told him that it was not good business to have customers have to worry about taking inventory of their boat, before and after having services performed at their shop. He agreed and offered to repurchase the bottle of liquor. :)

Today, when I got out on the lake and was ready to anchor and discovered that it was missing, I texted him again to tell him the situation, and guess what?? ...I have not heard back from them. Go figure.

I would suggest that unless you would like subpar work on your boat and have things missing when it's returned, you NOT use Ship Shape Services.

Wow! I can't believe how good my boat looks. I can see my teeth in the reflection. It looks brand new. They even got rid of the shadow and residue from the old stripes that had been removed.

The work that this company did on my boat was amazing!  It looked like I had just pulled it off of the showroom floor!!!
