Village Super Market, Inc. is a family business operating 30 ShopRite locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Story

In 1937, brothers Nick & Perry Sumas, opened the first Village Super Market in South Orange, NJ. The business, that began as the American dream of two Greek immigrants, remains family owned and operated today.

Every day 3 generations of Sumas family members, together with Village Super Markets’ more than 8,000 associates, bring the company’s mission of ‘Helping Families Live Better’ to life.

A passion for serving stores’ local communities & providing exceptional guest experience has always remained at the heart of the business.
