Same great service as the last. The employees were attentive and friendly. The lines at the register moved quickly. Every aisle was fully stocked, even the holiday-related food items.
We use to enjoy this Shoprite but last time I was there, the employees decided to secret agent style try to accuse me of stealing! I have shopped at this store many times and this was the first time I experienced this. It was horrible. It would have been considerate to just ask me if I had gotten everything? Which I believe I did. I spent over $200 dollars during this purchase and the treatment was just uncalled for.
Store Director has poor body language and ingenuine hospitality. I say this based on him walking from behind me just to cut me off while pushing my cart. A customer walking the opposite direction even responded "wow" without me saying anything. Rest of staff is great and place appears to be run well. Also I'm not some customer being extra or complaining you can check 9:25 AM, 09/16, front of self checkout.
First impressions matter. With the closing of the Shoprite in my area I had been wanting to venture out to one of 3 others in the area all being 24- 30 minutes away in either direction. I chose the Warminister Shoprite because a friend shops there with her elderly mother every week. I was so happy to walk into a familiar shopping place from the moment I pulled into the lot. I located everything with ease. There's a particular item I wanted at the meat dept that my friend informed me they carried, but it was not in the case but the tag was there. I asked the lady stocking the meat case and she immediately said it was in the case. I asked her again did they have any more or in the back because she clearly didn't hear my question. She dismissively said no. Nor did she check and walked into the back. A gentleman came out so I asked him if they were def out.⁸ol I asked when did he think they would come in? He said he didn't know. So I walked away. I went thru a cashier lane. The young lady never greeted me but asked for my card. I decided to greet her with a hello how are you. I bagged my entire order which I was happy to do. She did not thank me for bagging nor did she thank me for my $100.00 order I spent. I said to her. Thank you would be appropriate at this particular time. She said nothing. I then said a simple hello would have been nice also, but thank you should be a given. She shrugged her shoulders. I said no thank you? She said nothing. I asked to speak to the manager. She walked off her register and never returned and signaled a manager to me. I did speak to the manager. Told her about my 3 encounters. She apologized. The apology wasn't her responsibility. What a horrible first time experience. Not worth the drive or dissapointment. I will make it a point to rethink shopping there. I gave it 1 star because the store was beautiful. Your staff needs to be more friendly and helpfull
I think it really sucks that the deli closes at 6pm .... People who work long days are simply out of luck. They should have possibly 3 nights a week where the deli is open to possibly 9pm
You can thank the Italian speaking gentleman in the deli for the one star. I will never purchase any of my lunch meat from there again. He prefers to wait on Italian speaking customers rather than follow a ticket number procedure. I waited patiently over 10 mins for my turn and "Virginia" walks up speaking Italian and he waited on her before all the people who were waiting. That is DISCRIMINATION !!! And my mom and sister were with me and you lost those too!
Prefer them over the nearby Giant any day
I shop in your store once a week. I've always been pleased with your products, prices, service etc. Today's stood out. I put an order in at the deli. Two young African-American men were working at the deli. They were so nice, polite, helpful and cheerful. Another customer and I remarked how nice they were. They made my day. When employees go out of their way they need to be acknowledged
I was at the Deli counter and the man slicing was phenomenal, his name is Sean. He was working his butt off. This is a guy I will look for whenever I’m at the Deli again. Great job Sean.
I showed an employee the attached picture on my phone and asked why the Item didn't ring up for the advertised price she told me that I needed a digital coupon. I said that's why I'm showing you a picture of the sign clearly showing "with card" not digital coupon. Thanks for correcting Me while actually looking at a picture proving your wrong. If I want bad service and attitude, I can just go to Walmart and save a bunch of money. This place was my go to weekly store, not any more.
