The Amphitheater itself is a pretty good venue. The problems are with the location, parking, driving accessibility and the clowns that work there. The traffic around Shoreline is horrible, it is surrounded by Google's headquarters and there is only 1 major road to and from the freeway. It is so bad that people trying to get to an event have been known to leave their cars on the freeway so they could then walk to the amphitheater. If you arrive early enough to avoid the nightmare of getting in then you live the insanity of trying to get out of that horrid parking lot and back to the freeway. WHAT IN THE WORLD WERE THE PLANNERS THINKING? So, if you have a MUST see event I suggest putting the bike rack on the family truckster. Then, haul the bicycles into downtown Mountain View, way, way early and have dinner. After dinner bike in and out of the Nightmare Amphitheater.

A bit dated now. Been going to this place since late 80s. Slow to enter. Food options pretty good. View from middle seat area is easily obstructed if the person sitting or standing in front of you is relatively tall.

Always been a great experience for me and my family. Great time with the kids and I will be there in 5 months again for another day of amazing music.

This venue rocks. It was built on a landfill, and it looks like a steal your face when viewed from above. It's a great place to see your favorite acts, and, it's a pretty easy place to find your way around. Drinks are outrageously priced, but music is a big time luxury these days. Getting an uber when the show is over can definitely be a little confusing.

Cool, outdoor venue. I recommend paying for a seat. The lawn is always packed and you will have to climb over people to get where you're going. Drink lines are ridiculously long.
