Dr. Blackwell is an amazing provider, the clinic on the other hand is impossible to get through via phone and speak with anyone. Have tried contacting them numerous times over the last 2 weeks and every time I call it is either busy tone or am put on hold for 40+ min and never get through. Based on all the other google reviews this is a known issue that ascension does not seem to care about fixing. If this does not improve I will unfortunately have to be change to another clinic, which is a shame because the providers are great.
Doctor Merriman has been great for myself and my entire family for many years. However, lately anytime you call the office you are put on hold for over an hour. It just easier to drive there to speak with some one. This is totally unacceptable. If this continues we will be changing clinics.
Dr. Hall and his staff are amazing. He genuinely cares about his patients. I feel fortunate to have found him. His nurses also care a great deal about their patients and always call back the same day if I have a concern but can't come in for an appointment. The front desk staff are professional and kind. I really can't speak highly enough of this practice.
The doctors my family and I have seen have been great, and the staff is helpful and friendly in person…BUT the office is impossible to reach by phone, and the Ascension billing department appears to be running a scam. My children’s visits were incorrectly billed, and it is impossible to speak to anyone about fixing it. After months of phone calls, they agreed to a 40% refund, which they never honored. When I contacted Ascension again about the failed refund, was told that they couldn’t actually give a refund, and was then they threatened that if we continued to pursue it we might be charged more. I have dealt with my fair share of insurance headaches, but this is by far the worst—predatory and scammy. If there is *anything* wrong with the way you are billed, you can expect that it will not get resolved. Due to the unacceptable and predatory way that billing is handled by Ascension, I would recommend avoiding this practice and any other Ascension practice if at all possible.
This is my first time to Shorewood family Staff is very nice. Waiting time was less than 10 minutes Dr. Merriman is so considerate and nice. He takes his time with every patient and listens carefully. Melissa in the lab is so gentle I must say. I barely felt the needle. She did a great job
I love this place. Its staff, however pressed by the COVID pandemic, remain helpful and its doctors and techs treat you like humans who matter. I first joined their patient roster in the 1990s and rejoined after returning to Milwaukee in 2010 and feel so fortunate to be back. Thanks, Dr. Blackwell, and team!
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Hall. Patient, caring, skilled and very thorough. My entire family sees Dr. Hall and he has always given us excellent care. He has been our family doctor for at least 15 years now. I highly recommend him.
They deserve no stars. Avoid at all costs unless you want to be laughed at as well as lied to. A 6 year old could do a better job. Incompetent. I’ve had to take time off of work to have lab work only to find that the lab was closed & they couldn’t be bothered to call & let me know. 2 people called to confirm that I had insurance; REALLY?!
Doctors are fine, but since Ascension took over management of office, expect to wait 30-60 minutes on hold trying to get an appointment. If other options exist for your healthcare, take it.
The clinic staff & physicians are always professional and timely. The physicians and nurses are knowledgeable and compassionate. They really listen to the needs of the patient.
