This is a nice yogurt shop hidden in Pike Place market. We just stumbled upon it while strolling inside craving for ice cream or yogurt. We only saw one person taking making the orders. So the wait time is longer than expected. It is a nice small cozy shop packed with everything possible with all kinds of signs and writings here and there. We took a cookies and cream and it was ok. We took vegan cookie dough. They didn’t have the usual one. We didn’t like it. It was over powering since they use coconut milk in all the vegan flavored icecream. They lady who was doing all the work was nice but she should be hiring one more during peak season. Dietary restrictions: They have a vegan options for customers who have dietary restrictions regarding diary. They use coconut milk instead of milk. Parking: It is hard to find parking. You have to spin around to find a suitable spot to park. Parking is not free. Minimum parking is for 2 hrs. Kid-friendliness: Of course it is kids friendly. Kids love icecream no matter what. They do let you taste test. There is also a nice seating area for young customers. Wheelchair accessibility: It is doable but hard to maneuver a wheel chair.
Pleasantly surprise. One of the best vegan ice cream place I tried. The vegan salted butter popcorn is so yummy. Will definitely go back again. I don’t remember the name of the blue ice cream though, it is vegan and equally good. But vegan salted butter popcorn is still my favourite
I had no idea there was vegan ice cream in pike place!! They have soft serve not vegan and then also scooped ice cream and the vegan flavors come from local ice cream maker Full Tilt and are so delicious and always creative! When I was there, they had vegan rootbeer, salted popcorn, vanilla, chocolate, hazelnut mocha, blueberry chip, and a blue flavor that they said tasted like fruit loops. The small / 1-scoop size can have two flavors at no extra cost, and though $6 seems a bit pricey, they do pile in quite a lot. They also allow tastes. We'll definitely be back here! It's on the ground level and kind of hidden away behind fruit stalls and a cheese vendor, you have to wander inside the market building.
rose cardamom was a cool flavor that wasnt too sweet, pretty light and tasty
Had a great time visiting this hidden gem in Pike Place. Lots of great menu variety, including vegan options and unique ice cream flavours like lavender and popcorn one scoop of lavender and one of strawberry is sublime, btw. The woman working there was so kind. I'm so glad we stopped here instead of one of the bigger and more crowded ice cream shops at the market! Definitely a memory I will hold close when remembering my visit to Seattle.
The ice cream we received was beyond underwhelming. The cookie dough wasn't quite as good as store brand, and the sweet potato was lesser than the cookie dough. Edible though? Yes. The gloop of mint chip atop the other two scoops however was not. Not only did the mint chip "ice cream" taste poorly made, the flavor and texture seemed like it had been melted and frozen repeatedly, reminding me somewhat of the frozen milk popsicles I once tried making as a kid. If you've never tried them, DON'T. I was also pressured to take a sample I inquired about and then communicated I didn't want, of which was ignored. I ended up trying the sample and it was totally gross, though I don't remember the name. Value: 3/10 Portion Size: 2.5 / 5 Half Scoops Overall Taste: 1.75 / 5 Overall Texture: 1.75 / 5 Customer Service: 2.5 Cookie Dough: 2.75 / 5 Sweet Potato: 2.5 / 5 Mint Chip: 1 / 5 Overall, a pass to hard pass, especially at $6 a scoop, earning Shy Giant a fair 2/5 stars.
Got the pistachio and vegan chocolate. It was delicious! Some of the best vegan ice creams I’ve had! The pistachio was also good, great places for shakes as well!
I was impressed that they had vegan flavours hence the stars and was happy to pay $4 per scoop but I couldn't get along with the flavour or texture at all. It was somehow chewy and seemed very unnatural, melting to a still fairly solid paste. It could just be me but I found it inedible. My partner not vegan had a better reaction but still couldn't eat more than a couple of bites. Fingers crossed they find a new vegan ice cream supplier
Creamy, rich and yummy ice creams. Both vanilla and chocolate we tried were awesome. You could savour the strong flavour in every bite. I would rate vanilla to be tastier than chocolate if you gotta pick one. They got vegan ice creams too!! Single scoops give you enough ice cream to fill you well!
Delicious! They also have hard ice cream/sorbet
