A plethora of items for a home brewer beginner or someone with experience. John is extremely kind, helpful, and patient. I highly recommend this shop for all your home brewing needs. I'll definitely be returning.

They have everything to start your own brew at home or larger for a supply store. The employees are full of knowledge, very clean and helpful. Certainly the place for beer supplies and knowledge in northern California!

While passing through the Nevada City area I happened upon this cozy store and was delighted by what I found; an extensive selection of fermentation equipment, hops, grains, and spices (including Palo Santo, which reminds me of the streets of La Paz, and I'm excited to experiment with in beer). I happily found great stainless steel ball valves I had trouble finding elsewhere; staff-member Zack not only gave me the low-down on why easily sanitize-able and temperature tolerant silicon tubing is the way to go and what to consider when purchasing beer faucets, but also shared some tips on his latest simcoe single-hop IPA. I made 2 trips during my short time there and would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling within an hour of Grass Valley.

Cool place, but it is often closed during its advertised hours. About 50% of the time that I drive there, it's closed. Random Wednesday? Closed. Canada Day? Why not, closed. Venus aligned with the Moon? Closed. I can't discern the pattern, so I think it's easier to just start ordering online.
