This place is a joke. They forced me to go into their God addictions program, wouldn't let me attend A.A orB.A meetings and because I wouldn't sign a release agreement for my psychological records they kicked me out. I'm still thinking of a law suite against them. They wouldn't let me go to a seven day advantaced church I could only go to one of theirs which is illegal and they profit from anyone in their God addiction program this is why they make you cancel your food stamps or they can't receive funding for you. They are profiting of the weaknesses of society and need to be stopped. The head lady and the head counselor there receive quite the pay and if you don't oblige their every command and have a mind of your own you will be kicked out. Help the homeless is not what they do they help their own pocket books. They are a 501 c 3 business and are obligated to show you financials if asked then you will see where the money is going. These people are not of God they are the the wolf in sheep's clothing, evil in its self and must be stopped.

You would think all of the staff would be kind hearted here. But they aren't. Their are some really nice ladies here but some of them make you feel like they want you to get kicked out over anything else and like they dislike their job. Why work at a women's shelter if you know the circumstances the women walk in with. The volunteers seem to carry a very welcoming presence over them. But like I said some of the staff need to learn to speak and be more positive instead of being fake and not liking their job. You won't get the non believers to think this is a godly place when you have staff talking about the women here behind their back, on subjects not having anything to do with their job. Very unprofessional as well. They threaten you about getting kicked out any chance they get.

I stayed here, about 3 years ago. I walked in with the absolute worst tragedy of circumstance of my life. I couldn't speak, think, and needing physical therapy, very gravely position. I can't remember much or how long I actually lasted there, but I was so happy to just have somewhere to go. I was very paranoid due to what I was recovering from, senses very off and angry that ended up punching some lockers so they immediately called the police, idk maybe that's what supposed to do, I was crying because "i broke my hand,". I just couldn't at all help the condition I was in as a result of violence done to me, that couldn't speak litterally. I can't remember anybody actually helping me there. If can just express compassion to someone instead of throwing them under the bus so quickly, and just listen. It's been 3 years, doing ok now. But yeah not an overall welcoming situation. I like the jesus room, mildly comforting..

It's wonderful to see the Support Simonika provides to our citizens in need. So much better to donate to local charities such as this as compared to others that have huge administrative costs.
