The best cupcakes I've ever bought, ever.  Devine indulgence, heaven in my mouth.  Can't wait to go back and sample some more deliciousness.

If I could give Jae 0 stars, I absolutely would. We stay in cannon beach every year as a family, obviously the right choice for our wedding destination. Going in last July trying her cupcakes, we decided to use Jae for our cake and cupcakes for the wedding this August. I also saw the best reviews and some amazing pictures off of her website. We emailed back and forth, me sending her pictures of what exactly I wanted. She explained she COULD do the designs I wanted. Colors and everything. I kept in touch with her every couple of months making sure everything was going to go smoothly and I sent her the pictures 3 times to be exact. Being 8 hours away I was a little skeptical not being able to see any designs made. She made me feel comfortable, and I trusted she knew what exactly I was looking for. Everything together was almost $300. Thinking with the price being so much, everything would turn out perfect! We received the cupcakes on Thursday (my wedding day) and I couldn't believe what I was looking at. The cake had nothing on it but frosting, which looked like was slopped on in 5 minutes. The cake was supposed to have shells and starfish on it. The cupcakes looked nothing like the design I had showed her. Those looked even worse. Everything looked like it was put together in maybe an hour. It looked very rushed and like they didn't even try to make them look decently good. We had ordered chocolate cupcakes with a caramel filling, the ones we received didn't have any filling at all! Everything in her store in the display cases are gorgeous. Even a sign inside the store says "all cupcakes have filling". What I had gotten for my wedding was crap. We went in Saturday, to try to get an explanation to why the cake and cupcakes looked the way they did. Jae wasn't only defensive, but very rude. She told us "she didn't have time to deal with this". You would think as a business owner you would take responsibility for something that didn't turn out the way it was supposed to, especially for a customer being so upset and paying so much money! Everything for my wedding was perfect EXCEPT my cake and cupcakes. Absolutely disappointed with the quality and the way she handled this. I don't recommend this bakery for destination weddings, or any weddings at all.

I wanted to get a nice cake for my husband's Birthday, when I asked prices I was a little hesitant to get a large cake as they are a bit pricey.  And then I tried one of her cupcakes and was immediately sold.  They are SO good that the price is completely worth the quality of cake that you are getting.  The cupcakes are different from a larger cake in the sense that they are topped with whipped cream rather than frosting, however, the coconut cream cake we got was the best thing I've eaten. My sisters and I are guessing that she does a Swiss Meringue Buttercream as it is incredibly smooth and not overly sweet.   Her cake is super fluffy, and very flavorful.  The coconut cream cake comes with a coconut filling/pudding that is to die for.  My sisters got the raspberry cupcakes and the lemon curd cupcake.  They were all raving about how good they were.  If you are in the mood to try her cupcakes my one suggestion would be to get there when they open so you can get what you want as they sell out later in the day, and for good reason!!
