I would rather give them zero stars. The employee turnover is horrible. No one likes working there. They signed me up promising I could use ALL equipment for the basic monthly price and now they have changed that policy because they are trying to get people to pay a higher monthly fee in order to use basic equipment like assault bikes, bosu ball, and medicine balls. I initially recommended a lot of people to join this gym and now I regret it. I am trying to spread the word - don't waste your time or money.

You guys have some really jack ass employees threatening to have cars towed with paper signs claiming parking was only for you. When asked where the signs were at they just said leave your car there and see what happens. Great advertising!

This gym is pushing members away by not being truthful and doing what they say they will do, and taking away previous amenities to push premium memberships. They will likely not survive with these tactics in this area as word gets around fast in Sun Lakes and surrounding areas. Be aware I would not join again and if you do I would not commit to anything but minimum membership if at all. They have already been through numerous membership counselors, front desk, and most importantly gym managers since March 2017. Never a good sign! I had foot surgery the end of July and they are already on at least the 3rd manager since then....hence my story...I had arranged with previous manager to freeze my paid in full account as I would not be able to use the gym for at least 2 months to recover. It was to be placed in freeze mode August 1 and start back up again when I returned. I was assured when I left it was taken care of....when I returned October 2, to start working out again, I was met with new desk help, and guess what a new manager who could care less about anything you have to say but responds like a robot "you can call corporate" which is exactly what she said (I doubt she will be there in 6 months) when I explained what was to have happened. In addition, she stated previous people were saying and agreeing to things they were not allowed to do! Curious I wanted to see what my account said, and was told my membership not only was not placed on hold but would end in January. I said the gym did not even open until march, so all you paid up in full get ready to have your membership end before the date the gym opened! These people do not have a clue! In addition, to the lies being told just to get you off their back, they change amenities that you have been using to force upcharge to more costly memberships. Effective October 15, if you did not purchase a XGT package, you cannot use the XGT room when it is not occupied...are you kidding? There is no place to stretch out where it does not encroach into walkways, but oh wait, they laid down old torn mats that actually are in the walkway so people can trip on them (can you say lawsuit and OSHA violations). They do not acknowledge you when you leave, and go out of their way to not make eye contact. Needless to say, I will not renew any membership at smart gym. Make sure if you choose to go here (and I recommend you do not) that you get everything in writing and make sure you do not have auto renew checked on anything. Keep copies of everything and when they email the contract look it over carefully, mine was not what I signed, fortunately I had my copy and a email verifying what I had signed up for. Read everything carefully and when you decide to leave make sure you meet all dates for termination. Bottom line if you can, look elsewhere!

The gym is nice and clean. The staff are cool but they try extremely hard to sell you on everything they can. They will also text and call you constantly if you don't come in every day which I find incredibly annoying. There's also a 40 dollar yearly service fee that they do not tell you about which made me pretty upset

Great gym and cheap prices to work out! Friendly and informative staff members. Awesome location and amazing, new equipment. Love how spacious and clean it is!
