no appointment needed. Short waiting time. Stylist was very professional and did a great job cutting my hair. The price especially can't be beat. Using their on-line SmartStyle app, it makes it easy to be added to the waiting list I will use the Salon again.

I was sitting down waiting about 10 minutes for a stylist to finish on a client in order to be taken in. A few minutes later, there was a woman who came in and was signed in. I then walked up to the stylist and I told her the service I wanted to get done and asked how long I had of a wait. She said there was another person ahead of me and I explained to her that I was there first and I had been waiting for 10 minutes. She said that since she had signed the other woman in already, there was nothing she could do. Even though the woman was right outside the salon and she could have easily fixed the situation by putting me ahead of her and explaining to her the mix up. The reason why I didn't sign in right away with one of the two stylist was because they were busy working on a client and I didn't want to be rude by interrupting them. Instead, I sat down on a chair right across from the counter and waited until one of them was finished in order to sign in. I don't know how she didn't notice me, it's a small salon and I was sitting on one of the chairs across from the counter. I would have let it go but this is the second time this has happened to me. I simply walked away. I'm never going back to this salon again.

I signed my name and waited for 5 minutes but they seemed busy so I went into Wal Mart to look for something, Stag Chili, they didn't have any so I walked back. I waited at the desk and saw a heavy set lady with dark hair and red streaks in her hair walk past me. I sat down and 2 people went ahead of me, I waited 35 minutes total, but 5 of those minutes was outside the store looking for Stagg Chili, so I understand that they took people ahead of me, I told them I'm here and waiting, and they said they called my name, which I never heard, I saw my name not-crossed out, waited 20 minutes, and then when I walked up to the counter they crossed my name out, I told them I was here, and they said I wasn't, anyway I was patient with them and they were no longer busy, and the manager (heavy set lady with red streaks in her hair) started yelling at me, she said I wasn't there, I told her she walked past me earlier, she said she didn't, I told her I'm just here to get a haircut, she yelled at me for about 1 minute straight, even while the hair-stylist was trying to prepare me for a haircut, the 'manager' lady kept on and on and on yelling at me, I told her I'm going to the Wal Mart manager, she said "go ahead, they have nothing to do with this pace", this is probably true, I left and will never go back, I do not recommend this place, they are rude, so I went across the street to the Foothills Mall, they were very nice there, and one guy there told me he used to work at Smartstyle Family Hair Salon, he told me he was fired because a customer called him the N word and he understandably got mad about it. So apparently it's not ok for a customer to wait 30 minutes and tell the manager they have been waiting, the manager will call the customer a liar, but it is ok for the customer (a different customer) to say the N word and the customer is right in that case. I'm not racist, and I'm not impatient, I waited my turn and was treated very poorly, being yelled at while trying to get a haircut? I'm going to contact the owner of Smartstyle Family Hair Salon, if it has happened to me, it will happen to others, I hope the management of that place is changed for the better. I was harassed by the manager, and a former employee was harassed by a customer, both are wrong, the customer isn't always right, but I was respectful and was being called liar. Why would I lie about waiting 30 minutes? And why would anyone even be mad that I claimed I waited 30 minutes? I wasn't even bothered by the 2 people that went before me, I was bothered by the very disrespectful attitude of the heavy set lady with the dark hair with red streaks in her hair, she called it "her salon", please take immediate action to discipline her, she needs to learn how to treat customers, she needs a few weeks of customer service training, preferably at the unemployment line.
