This is one of my go-to lunch spots in the area. I come here for the huge buffet and build my own plate for a full meal. It’s always fresh and delicious with a huge variety to suit whatever my appetite may be. Upstairs from the store is a seating area with tables and counters to eat at. I can always get a spot. This seating area has lots of windows for natural light and a nice view looking down Madison Avenue. Highly recommended.
The food was actually quite nice, unfortunately towards the end of our meal, we found a dead cockroach in our food. This issue was addressed with the person who served us however I was told they couldn't issue a refund and to come back when the manager was next in. We're on vacation here so couldn't come back the next day. Unfortunately one member of our group had suspected food poisoning the next day. We have reported this to the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene with the geotagged photos and receipts.
Seats available on the second floor which is great, however, the hot bar price is higher than Whole Foods..$14.99/ per if you use cc.
Great jack of all trades eatery. They have everything from fresh smoothies, to pastries to a full lunch service area with all kinds and styles of meats and veggie options. My smoothie was great, the Berry Lovely, it arrived quickly and was a pretty good price considering the location. Give it a try!
I remember it use to be a upstairs area to sit and eat but besides that, this deli has such a variety of food. Smoothie bar is a plus and they are quick with checking you out. Great location when needing a lunch spot.
Buy the food here only if you're rich, or desperate. The food is ridiculously overpriced. I was charged 50 bucks for a small container of food wasn't even heavy and two bottles of soda. I don't know how they get away with that kind of fleecing, but I won't be buying there again. There are cheaper places in Manhattan with far better food.
Food was decent but not really worth it most the buffet is just heated up overpriced food. Coffee says For Five roasters but taste like burnt toilet water. Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance only
Smilers is my go to lunch spot! There are numerous rotating buffet options and a sandwich grill. The buffet is price per pound - for both hot and cold options! Great value for money. Produce is fresh and there is a high patronage so food is turned over regularly. General buffet options include chicken, stews, beef brisket, salmon, roast vegetables, salads, and fruit. There is an upstairs dining area but I generally takeaway and eat back at the office.
No more restroom access. No more 2nd floor access. Grill was closed before 8:00 pm. Some outdoor seating is available but the sidewalk is slanted.
One of the worst deli i have ever had ordered cold cut sandwich unbelievable how dirty is the place turkey cut tasted like the guy put on the Floor than put in to your sandwich i ll never go back there again… they have serious hygiene issues
