Pre-ordered a strawberry cake with a large rosette rainbow decorations. I made sure they understood sent a picture to the decorator. My in-laws paid close to $80.00 for a one inch cake covered in rosette that a student baker would do. Wrong color, the writing was on the board not on the cake. It was not the size I was shown it would be. All wrong. I'm not rich but I wanted to give my daughter the best. 30 minutes before the party starts I called the manager of the Bakery on Union she was rude, unapologetic and told me to bring it back if I didn't like it. How could I take my 4 year old cake away. My family has been a customer of yours for over 30 years. We have a huge picture in our living room of our parents with one of ur cakes. That's how special you were. None of us will never go back. And you can thank your rude manager for that. So mean.

We are from Arizona and ALWAYS make a stop for some smiley face cookies. Today we were excited going in. The ladys who helped us were rude and apathetic. Put a huge damper on these wonderful cookies. We will not return to this location in the future.

Hands down best bakery in all of Bakersfield. Best choices are the happy face cookies, maple bars, or the orange/strawberry muffins although you really can't go wrong. I live in Europe and am worried that I won't be able to have a Smith's cake at my wedding.
