Owned by Rodger and Lori Turner. Smith Farms was founded in Cullman, Alabama in 1955 by Ed Smith as a small road-side stand selling seasonal produce and a few cured hams and bacon. Through the years, Smith Farms has grown to be recognized throughout the country for producing truly unique, 'Southern tasting' products. We continue to use the same time honored recipes and techniques perfected many years ago. Today, we have a fully USDA inspected process and can ship our products all over the world.
Since 1955, Smith Farms has been the source in north Alabama for traditional Southern foods. We have perfected the art of curing pork and use only real hickory wood to smoke our ham, bacon, and sausage.
Complete your meal by adding one of our delicious old-fashioned, stone-ground grain products (grits, porridge, biscuit/pancake, muffins, gravy, bread flour and cornmeal), as well as aged Wisconsin and Amish cheeses, pure honey, sorghum syrup, and a full line of jams, jellies, preserves and fruit butter.
