A week ago my husband went to this store to make a small purchase and get some cash back at the register from his prepaid plasma donation card (his mother had a long battle with leukemia years ago and we both donate when we can since then). The self checkout attendant accosted him while he was completing his purchase, yelling at him that he's not allowed to do that. The manager told him it was fine and he could complete his purchase. Friday (11/3/17), he returned to do our grocery shopping and the transaction was declined. He was informed that his card was permanently locked out of the system and he could no longer use it at any Smith's location because of the "altercation" earlier in the week (during which he never even raised his voice and the manager resolved, or so we thought). We have always done our shopping for our family of 4 at Smith's. So do the vast majority of the hundreds of plasma donors in this city, largely because the donation centers specifically recommend the franchise for the great cash back policy. We have informed all the centers of the unfortunate change in this policy as well as the deplorable treatment we received. They will no longer be recommending Smith's and will be posting notices that donors are no longer welcome to get cash back with their purchases, so they can elect to take their business elsewhere, as we will from now on. Very disappointing. Perhaps, if small transactions are such a problem, they should just post "go be poor somewhere else" on the door so they can avoid their employees accosting customers in the future.

Good place but need to work with some female staff. I got some question and the employee start to giggle and said I don't understand you accent , I don't speak spanish. I was speaking plain english. I told her forget about Ill figure out myself but I will talk to the manager before I go, have a nice day.

Very convenient location for south eastern Albuquerque suburbs. 4 Hills. Friendly staff and pretty good selection.

I love shopping there. If you can't find something, the employees are always happy to help. There are almost never long lines. And the club card comes in handy.

Pretty clean store. Shop here at least 2 times a week. Nice people in seafood. Nice people in bakery. Rachel the cake decorator is awesome! She did a great on my cake! Please stop with the sushi people yelling about free samples, can't they just stand there. We can see there's free samples. And some cheese lady is always yelling to other employees almost every time I go in there
