We had an amazing time at Smithfield Bed and Breakfast. Food and accommodations were only outclassed by the hospitality and company of the ownership team. Thank you Betsy and Ruth.

A charming bed and breakfast nestled in the middle of an active 400 acre farm. Both beautiful and tranquil, perfect for a quiet evening nestled snugly with a good book or serene walks around the property enjoying the company of well cared for steers, chicken, and hogs. All of it made better by the accommodating and gracious hospitality of Ruth and Betsy Pritchard.

What a lovely place! Ruth welcomed us warmly and served us graciously throughout our stay. She's a great innkeeper! Betsy was also gracious and a wonderful cook - special almond raspberry pancakes for our anniversary. Being there midweek, we had the beautiful, comfortable house to ourselves and more time to visit with Ruth. This is a house with history. The farm itself is very interesting and we enjoyed learning about their animals, markets, and sustainable farming methods. Came away with the biggest eggs ever. A great place to roam, enjoy quiet, and feel relaxed. We hope to return!

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. Words cannot describe, but I will try! The excitement started building as we drove through the hills, passing Christmas tree farms and wide open fields. You turn onto a gravel lane that takes you over a small hill, then the beautiful Manor House, flanked by brick cottages, comes into view. Don't forget to wave to the cattle grazing in the pasture as you drive by! Through the front door into a warm and inviting foyer, we were greeted by Ruth, one of the innkeepers. She was so friendly and welcoming as she gave my husband and I the grand tour. And grand it was, from the sitting room to the cozy yet elegant dining room, everything was impeccable. We had reserved the randolph room, we went in and the late afternoon sun light was pouring through the huge windows and onto the tall four poster bed (which was sooo comfortable). Right across from the end of the bed is was an easy to use fireplace. I could go on about every detail of the room, but it's better to see in person. The bathroom was sparkling and stocked with plush towels and toiletries. I can say that our room, the bathroom and everything we saw in the rest of the house was spotlessly (impressively) clean. We enjoyed a nice walk around the farm as the sun went down. The next morning, we went down for breakfast and we were absolutely blown away by the food. It was served in courses, everything came out hot and absolutely delicious! This was our first bed and breakfast experience and the bar has been set sky high! We will absolutely be going back!

My wife and I really enjoyed our visit to Smithfield. The inn keepers were very accommodating with my wife's food allergies, the property was quiet, and the onsite trails were very pleasant. After our stay, they sent us a darling card thanking us for our stay. Nice touch!
