Visited padra island for the first time during the 4th of July week and stopped here on my first night. It was amazing! Probably the best ribs I ever had and the amazing staff made the experience all the better. Great prices too I've seen places ask way more for mediocre food. I'd say to make this a stop if you're planning a visit to padra.

My husband and I had the BEST pulled pork sandwich at the shrimp fest this year which happened to be from Smokey Tails BBQ. We went there today for lunch and had more food from the menu. Let me just say tender and delicious it all was. Not to mention the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The owners and there family have great conversations and are just as delicious as the food they bring to your table. Thank you for bringing your amazing BBQ to South Padre Island TX... We will be back soon. Kim and Darold Olson

Very Good BBQ! The brisket was cut with your fork tender, great taste and a good portion. The pit beans were an outstanding side. The service today was very good. Nice people.

Nice back patio atmosphere and friendly staff. The macaroni and cheese is really good.

Band playing! Enjoyed the night with the Mrs' , al fresco ...later fireworks.. if you're hungry don't order the shrimp dinner (small portion) brisket sandwich had good portion and was ok!..the waiter was friendly.
