We popped in to find a thank you gift for our pet sitter... what a great store! Full of beautiful local handmade art and reasonable prices. Pottery, carved wood, nice stuff in all price ranges.

My husband and I visited Gatlinburg recently for a weekend getaway.  It was wonderful to find real art/craft from more than 40 local artists all in one place!  Smoky Mountain Art is by far our favorite shop among all the places we visited on "the strip" in Gatlinburg.  It is easy to find "souvenir junk" but not so easy to find quality original work ranging in price from a few dollars to hundreds for larger/more intricate pieces.  Manager Terri was a joy to chat with and had a wealth of knowledge of the local art and artists.  My husband enjoyed the shop as much as I did, and we bought several gifts both for ourselves and family/friends.  Highly recommended!

So many different types of art here! the manager said there were over 40 area artists with their work in the gallery. I bought a cool handmade coffee mug and a sculpture of a dancer for my neice. Prices here range from a couple dollars for the smaller pieces to several hundred for a chainsaw carving of bald eagles that looks to be over 8 feet tall.
