Very nice state park with lots of hiking trails. The campground was quiet and sunset and sunrise are very photogenic. I would love to come back and hike more of the trails. Close to town and there was cell rein most of the park. The lava flow in the valley was very interesting. The staff is extremely informative.

This canyon is a State Park that is a short drive from St George, Utah. I had a little bit of time before work, so I made the drive out and picked a short hike. The hikes all appeared to be easy, and parking was close by the trail head. The area was not crowded, but even in October in the early morning it was HOT...bring water and good shoes. There were several options for trails, and they all seemed to have spectacular views of the canyon and surrounding rock formations. The fee to enter the park was nominal, and the provided maps appeared accurate. This location was recommended to me by locals who try and avoid the crowds of Zion National Park.

One of my favorite places to visit near St. George. Rock climbing is excellent. Our kids loved the Pioneer Names Trail area and we hope to see much more of the park in the future.

Similar to Red Rock but much more majestic because the mountains surrounding the red rocks and the scenery overall. About a 4 mile drive off the 18, less than an hour from St. George. I highly recommend it! For $6 a day, this is by far one of the best State Parks around!

A gorgeous park! $6 entrance fee, which is really not much. Very similar landscape to Valley of Fire in Nevada, but far fewer people. My only complaint is the very limited areas where dogs are allowed. I would love to explore more trails when I don't have my four legged pal along.
