I was less than impressed with this firm. My initial consultation left me with little confidence, and once I received my denial letter from the insurance company, my feelings were confirmed with the same blasé attitude I got the second time from the paralegal. My case is a little more complex than most since I was misclassified as an independent contractor instead of an employee by my employer, and the feeling that was impressed upon me was that it wasn't worth their time or effort because it wouldn't be as profitable for them. Naturally, everyone wants to win but when a firm shies away from the difficult cases it certainly doesn't convey the image they will fight for you when it really matters. The whole interaction reminded me of the scene in "Legally Blonde" where the one student would prefer a malum prohibitum client because it was a less complex case and easier to win. You replied: "I see that our firm saw you free of charge on two separate occasions to review your case and speak with you in person. I know that we spent more than our usual consultation time on both occasions to ensure we were able to get all the details needed to make a determination about your case and to allow you the time you needed to ask questions." "Unfortunately, after reviewing the information provided by you, it was determined that our firm was unable to assist you and take your case." Actually, you only saw me once, and for about 10 minutes. The second time was when I called and said I received my denial letter and it was suggested I come in and talk to the attorney to see if she could suggest anything else. I canceled that appointment because I felt like my case was not being taken seriously from the comments I was hearing. First impressions matter. Apparently, according to your response here, you had already made the determination that you didn't want my case so coming in for the second consultation would have been another waste of time. At the very least I would have expected a recommendation to file an SS-8 form with the IRS to have my status as an employee determined. I found that free advice on Google. The IRS has a point system to determine if you are an employee or an independent contractor. Under those definitions, it seems to me I should have definitely been classified as an employee. UPDATE: I managed to find a competent attorney to represent me and the Industrial Commission ruled in my favor, that I had indeed been misclassified as an independent contractor. I guess my case wasn't that complicated after all.

This law firm does an amazing job of making you feel like family. I got the sense that I was more then just a case number there. The attorneys and office staff alike to made me feel welcome and comfortable throughout my case.

First impression...arrived 10 minuets before appointment, door locked. Waited till exact scheduled time of appointment door still locked. Really no one at the office for a scheduled appointment? I'm going to TRUST you with a case? Here maybe this will help.....APPOINTMENT > an arrangement to meet someone at a particular time and place.
