Yea, the claims about Miller is right. The overweight, short-dark-haired, white woman interrupts, makes sarcastic gestures and is difficult to communicate outside of her strict way of doing as minimal as possible with the rules of what she can explain to beneficiaries. Perhaps she has her own judgment of what she deems fit as deserving on behalf of the state. However, she is a liability for potential mistakes and penalties. If there are any ideas out there about any effective action against this servant on behalf of the people, please share some ideas. There are already posts about complaints to supervisors but it obviously has no consequences.

I feel since this is an office in which there's elderly and handicapped people who usually come to any SSA office, it should be more accessible with seats which are easy to sit and stand. Even the bathroom had only one stall that was accessible and it was out of order. It was still out of order when I was there a few weeks later . Also the security staff was extremely rude and not helpful. They did do a great deal of yelling at cell phone users.

Unless something has changed since I last visited the Lawrence office, my experience some months ago was wonderful. You see, I had come from Evanston il, where the Evanston SSA office is nearly dysfunctional. Granted the waiting room on Lawrence is tough-looking and filled to the gill with people. Just remember its because the surrounding offices are dumping their clients on the Lawrence office. When Evanston office would not give me a reasonable appt they then told me that I should not go to a different office. I knew this to be a lie. You may go to any office in the US. Whats more, is that the Lawrence ave SS reps are usually more efficient, resolving all issues at one appt, so you dont have to return. God bless Lawrence av SSA...taking care of business

This is one of the slowest, if not the slowest, government office I’ve visited. I don’t know what takes them so long here, but holy wow. It’s the epitome of the DMV long-wait-from-hell trope, and it’s not even the DMV.

I made an appointment at the office. At exactly my appointment time, I was called to a service window. They determined that my appointment had to be handled by a different group within the office. This was done in a very timely manner. The woman we worked with was efficient and quickly resolved the problem. Given the amount of heart breaking misery that I saw in the office in my short-time there, I want to compliment the workers for their caring attitude and ability to resolve problems.
