Local food, local people. Never had a bad meal here. Different Frito pie than I am used to but it has become one of my favorites. Husband has had the liver and onions lots of times and it has always been perfect. Green chili stew great. Big ham breakfast is a fill 'er up meal for hungry ranch hands. Love the breakfasts.

Food is great! Every time we eat there we r never given the check...bill always seems to be higher than our calculations. One thing we found out is if u order tacos with avocado u get charged for the avacado...so how many other items are the same way? You shouldn't have to ask for your check...i will in the future and ask more questions of what is "extra" or "additional" price.. like I said the food is great!

For where it is, Hernandez, NM, and what it is, small, family owned business, it's a gem.  

At 7:30 on a Saturday morning, I was the only real visitor.  The others were locals that frequented the place.

The over-medium eggs were cooked to perfection.  The cubed potatoes were crispy, yet tender, and the bacon was tasty and properly cooked.  Then there were the homemade flour tortillas!!  Yum, yum! 

Additionally, the breakfast came with a choice of red or green chili.  I took the green.  It came in a small ramekin.  It was a thick soup, with other ingredients, but it was delicious.

Socorro came by and visited, wishing me safety and God's speed.  The waiter was friendly, thorough, and great.

Travelling around the country, it's nice to find these local gems.  If you're on 84, north of Santa Fe, look it up.

Food was delicious and service was outstanding. A lady that caters and cooks for the place (and who also sang in a band once upon a time-her photo was on the wall) brought us a small plate of carnitas that she had made earlier to try while we were waiting for our meal. They were amazing! Also, tried both the red and green chile and they were both fabulous. Local law enforcement was there as well as several other local folks. Definitely try this place if you like New Mexican fare!

We go there all the time. Their food is delicious they give you a lot and the whole family are so nice. I feel at home their.
