I had to get on here today because it was such a great experience. I helped host a bridal shower for my dear friend today. The service was fast, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Manuel was absolutely amazing. He is so nice and was so helpful. He was in the room the whole time making sure everything was perfect. The food was amazing. This was my first time having Portuguese food and it was delicious. I will recommend coming here whether it be just to eat or to host another party. Thank you Manuel for everything you did for us today. You helped up make our friends shower memorable and special.

Superb! Been there on numerous events and feature by no means been disappointed. Went this night and had the steak Portuguese style with sangria. the entirety was incredible. My buddy got leg of lamb off the specials menu. It changed into to die for. On weekends they have suckling pig that is extremely good! lots of extremely good food in Newark, sol mar stands up to any of it.

A group of six old friends got together and one of them, who has been here before, ordered appetizers and four entrees for everyone to share. This provided plenty of food and offered a good variety. Appetizer sampler was very good, special mention to the shrimp and chorizo appetizers. Of the entrees, grilled octopus was ok but not great, pork cube and clams was good, but the paella was the dish of the night. Though it did not have chorizo, it was still very good. Service was excellent.

Great food and ambiance that would make you feel dining in Lisbon without leaving the country. Large portions, the seafood is among the best in North Jersey. It also offers a nice selection of Portuguese wines. Very reasonable prices, an amazing value.

Authentic delectable Portuguese food. Clean environment, lot's of food for the price. Can't get better food and service.
