Nice and quiet place with friendly staff. My 6 year old loves this library. There are lots of stuff to discover in this library, and I love how peaceful it feels. The bathrooms are clean as well. Although my family lives in Dixon, we always keep coming back here.

I've exited the library twice this month, September 2017, with different homeless individuals smoking meth out of their custom made pipes on the stone bench closest to the front doors of the library. Both times in full daylight! I have informed the Vacaville police of suspected meth use in Vacaville in the past and they never cared about doing anything so I didn't bother to call them about these two incidents at the public library. The fact Vacaville city won't protect law abiding citizens and children from exposure to illegal mind altering drugs is very disturbing. Homeless meth addicts using drugs in broad daylight in full public view means they know they can get away with it. These addicts are putting meth residue all over the same public property children play around and sit. Obviously the City council is perfectly fine with it. Having said this I'll point out not all homeless are dangerous narcotic addicts. Some are homeless because other human beings are cruel and screwed them over. For those reading this review think about it... How easy would it be for you to keep a full time job while sleeping on the street and not being able to shower?

Wonderful library that has been in Vacaville for years.  Always quiet.  Librarians are knowledgeable and friendly.  They have microfilm of archived newspapers for genealogical searches and study rooms you can reserve for free.
