I put two pieces of jewelry into their estate case. They quoted a customer the wrong price for one piece, over $400 less than what the tag stated (she told them it was $1,500 instead of the $1,995 it was listed for in the case— the employee said she accidentally misread it but since she already told the customer the other price she couldn’t fix the situation). When it was eventually sold, for over $600 less than its price in the case I was told it would be a few weeks till I am paid my percentage of the sale (even though they are paid in full right away) and possibly as little as a week (they would speak to the accountant about rushing it). 

I then today, several days later, had a very cold exchange on the phone with the stores manager who emphatically said their policy was 30-days to pay out to their estate sale customers and that Sondra herself said this is the way it is.  I told her about what I was told the week prior, on the day the piece sold, about it being possibly a week and never once did I hear 30-days. She questioned this, which I found further unprofessional (the employee who sold the piece is the one who stated this originally) and when I told her that this made me feel inclined to pull my other piece I heard her talking to another employee in the background saying to them yeah go ahead she wants to pull it. 

Overall a very poor experience and no effort made on their part to retain a potential long time customer, who also experienced a problem with the sale. Needless to say I decided to pull my other piece and go elsewhere (that doesn’t withhold your payment for a full 30-days and sweep such a big oversight on the price under the rug——at the very least be reasonable about paying out after such a costly error.). If Sondras cares to attempt to rectify any of this I am more than willing to speak to them...
