Typical Sonic but out by 29 Palms Marine Base. Food is good for 'drive-thru' cuisine. Portions adequate. Prices OK. They still have 'car hops' that bring you the food. This takes me back 50-60 years when every "drive-in" restaurant had them.

I waited about 10 minutes for my cheeseburger meal.  On top of that,  the vehicle that went through the drive thru immediately after me received their meal before me.  Even worse, they had a huge order.  Their bag was busting at the seams.  How did all that food get prepared before my one cheese burger?  Guess that explains my wait.

Line was super long ( it was lunch time) would not recommend the BBQ brisket sandwich. Dry and shy on the meat. Three stars because the food wasn't great but the service was good

They were very busy. Got my order wrong and it was a.long wait. But the food was great.

Its a pricey Burger joint but there is a ton of different types of mix and match slushie and fruit juices. They also got new ordering stalls and you can now easily interface with the order screens with the Sonics app on your phone. This makes paying easier although you have to buy a sonics card with your credit card or PayPal before you can pay for your food. That process is completed in seconds but seems like unneeded step.
